Future Leaders
About The Programme
The AECI’s Future Leaders Programme aims to inspire a new generation of ethical and effective young leaders for South Africa and the world. This initiative is a cornerstone of AECI’s Centenary Legacy programme, and presents an invaluable opportunity to foster meaningful change, inside and outside of the organisation.
This multi-platform youth leadership development programme, will develop high school learners and empower them to re-imagine themselves as leaders, understand the challenges around them, and how they can make a positive change through servant leadership.

Our Commitment
"If service Is beneath you, leadership is beyond you."
At AECI, we commit to living into a philosophy of being in service of others.
We lead out of the space of transforming life, realising our people's full potential, creating value for our customers and shareholders, and leaving our world better than we found it.

"If service is beneath you, leadership is beyond you."
I commit to leading in service of others by earning the trust of the people I lead, the loyalty of the customers we serve, and the respect of the communities we are transforming as we work to create value for our shareholders.

"Better people make better leaders."
I commit to leading with courage, resilience, integrity and humility, to grow into the best version of myself, knowing that better people make better leaders.

"Unearthing potential"
I commit to unearthing the full potential of the people who bring our purpose to life by creating the environment that grows, nurtures, empowers, and recognises them.

"Dirty hands, full heart."
The programme is based on the principle that leadership isn’t an innate talent that only some possess, but can be nurtured, cultivated and taught to anyone willing to learn.
